Brian Passey, with The Spectrum, helps write an informative column about the different religions in our area. He wanted to do an article on The Work of Jesus Christ which is based in Centennial Park. Since most polygamous groups have been so grossly misunderstood, we invited him to attend our church service and talk to members of our congregation.
We have no desire to offend or impose our beliefs upon others. Our effort is purely to inform others so they can make an educated assessment for themselves. One of our Articles of Faith states: “We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may. ” Unbiased persons who are secure in their own choice of worship will not feel threaten nor offended by ours. We appreciate the work Brian has done.

It’s good to see the positive side of the story about the plural culture.
It appears that you have a healthy culture in Centennial Park. I don’t agree with the stereotype that plural families have been branded with over the years in this country. I’m glad that you’re taking the opportunity to dispel misguided notions. Open sincere dialog will work wonders to educate people that this world is big enough for many different views. Hopefully one day we can learn to truly love our neighbors as Christ taught.
Years ago I was invited to Sunday service at Centennial park by a coworker. I never went, but was curious about your Sunday service. I no longer live close enough to attend, but at least his article gave me an idea of what your worship service is like. Brian did a good job with this article.
