We have stumbled across an interesting blog written by a woman who describes herself as “female, in my early thirties, married, a homeschooling mother of two, and a Latter-day Saint.” Her latest post is a bit long but is well worth reading. In it she describes how her heart is divided because her church is taking a stance toward the FLDS that violates her conscience.
I fear far too many of my blog posts are “a little long.” I’m nothing if not verbose. Regardless, I’m glad you found something of interest in what was written. Smiles.
Naiah,
You’re not alone. Kudos to you for standing up for what you believe. I brought the subject up more than once in Elders Quorum. I am confused as to why our leaders have been so out spoken against the FLDS being called Mormons etc. We share the same heritage, scriptures, and many core beliefs. In my opinion we should be helping our brothers and sisters through this crisis. What happened in Texas was wrong. We need to stand up and say so!
